Despite not being on the itinerary we woke one day to find ourselves in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for a medical evacuation.
Couldn't get to go ashore, of course, as the bureaucracy there seems to be monumental. It took over 5 hours just to evacuate one person for medical reasons!!
Nevertheless, we've been there.
